The idea that one can fall preggo the first cycle they try is one of heartache and defeat for many a TTCer. Why? In a world where we hear it only takes one time. When we see others who were on birth control and had that oops baby. So, why is it that very few people actually fall pregoo that first cycle?

The bottom line it is more than the reproduction video in health class. It can take a healthy couple in their 20s up to 12 months of actually timing intercourse right to get successfully pregnant. If you are older, you can expect it to take longer. This can be a very rude awakening for those who wait till they are in their 30s and 40s to start their families. Seems like such a shame that you spend time getting your life together so you can support a family, only to possibly go insane trying to get one later.

If you want the best chance of getting pregnant each cycle, the best thing to do is chart. Charting your cycles allows you to get to know your body, what it is doing (or not doing), when to expect ovulation, and when to know when to test or expect AF. While it is very true that women want to hit people who tell them to relax. The first year (unless you are having known fertility issues) you can expect a ride and a half.

After fertilization and implantation, your baby grows quickly. At first she's just an embryo, consisting of two layers of cells from which all her organs and body parts will develop. Soon she's about the size of a kidney bean and constantly moving. Until she will reach the period to be brought out and start to see the world.
