1. How accurate is OvaTel?
OvaTel is 98% accurate when used and interperted correctly in pinpointing your ovulation period.(researched and tested).

2. What are the side effects of using OvaTel?
There are none. OvaTel is completely natural and safe. It uses the body's natural resources (saliva) without the mess or embarrassment of some tests of today. Its non-invasive - no need to swallow or inhale anything.

3. When can I use OvaTel?
OvaTel can be used any day and at any time. (Best time is morning or 1-2 hrs after eating, drinking, smoking or brushing your teeth).

4. What gives misleading results?
1. Some prescription drugs - check with your doctor.
2. Pregnancy or recent Birth.
3. Menopause.
4. Eating salty foods or drinking sugary drinks (especally soda) before taking test is not recommended.

5. How much saliva do I need?
Not much at all - just a tiny drop, like a pin head. Collect a small drop of saliva with your finger or with a toothpick . Then place the saliva sample in the center of the lens. The amount needed again is a pin drop. Make sure you have allowed the saliva to dry at least 5 minutes before inserting back into the holder. Avoid air bubbles

6. Why can't I see anything?
As everyones eye focus is different (just like using binoculars), the eyepiece must be turned 1/4 of a turn to the righ or left to adjust to suit your eye focus. Wait approx. 5 -15 minutes to make sure saliva is completely dry before looking through the lens.

7. I still can't see any ferning - what now?
Estrogen is always present in the female body but not everyone gets an estrogen increase/surge every month. If you are following the instructions correctly over a period of time and continue to have absence of any ferning pattern - check with your doctor. It could be that you have an undisclosed problem ie. not producing enough estrogen or even ovulating.

8. I am seeing ferns all the time. Why is that?
A small percentage of women produce a high amount of estrogen all month long. One reason could be that you might not be producing enough progesterone. If you think this is true in your case, please consult your doctor or health care provider or another simpler reason for seeing ferns all the time is
you could be pregnant!

9. How do I clean my OvaTel?
For best results and use of your OvaTel is it important to clean the lens
after every use - use a soft cloth(included) or lens cleaner. However, water and a soft tissue will do just as well (don't rub or scrub the lens too hard as you might scratch it)
As an extra measure - be sure to blow on the lens before replacing the lens back into the holding case and/or before your next use.This is because sometimes fibers from the cloth or tissue get left behind on the lens and could be mistaken for cracks in the lens!.

10. Can I use OvaTel as a contraceptive device?
NO. This is not advisable. Since a sperm can survive for up to 72 hours after intercourse you may still have a chance of becoming pregnant even if it’s on a non-fertile day. OvaTel does not protect you against STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases)

11. Is OvaTel approved by the FDA?
OvaTel is registered with the FDA and was cleared in January, 2002 by the FDA.
